GATE 2025 Registration Last Date Today know how to register for exam


GATE 2025 Registration Last Date: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has fixed the last date for registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam as 26 September 2024. Eligible candidates can apply till today by visiting the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in without any late fee. This time the GATE exam will be conducted by IIT Roorkee. Application with late registration fee

If any candidate wants to apply even after today, then the extended online application process will be available for them till October 7, in which late fee will be charged.

Permission to appear in the examination

Candidates will be allowed to appear for a maximum of two test papers from the available set of two-paper combinations. Candidates appearing for the GATE exam will be issued admit cards on January 2. The exam is conducted every year by various IITs, IISERs and IISc for admission to postgraduate programmes. GATE scores are also used for recruitment by public sector units (PSUs).

You will have to pay this much application fee

The application fee for GATE exam is Rs 900 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with Disability (PWD) categories and female candidates. For all other candidates, the fee is Rs 1,800. The application fee is required to be paid online through credit card, debit card or net banking.

Dates and times of exams

GATE 2025 exam will be held on February 1, 2, 15 and 16. The exam will be in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 30 test papers. The exam will be conducted in two shifts – first shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and second shift from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Process to apply

Candidates must first register for GATE by providing their email and mobile number. After this, they have to fill in personal details, educational qualification and other information. Candidates must upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature and other relevant documents. Finally, submit the application form by paying the fee online and keep a copy safe with you.
